In Sweden they actually passed a law that gives fathers the right to a "legal abortion" - aka, sign off all of their parental rights and renounce the child up until a couple of weeks before abortion stops being legal. The idea is that it gives the woman time to decide what to do with the fetus. She can decide to abort it, or have it against the father's wishes. If she chooses the latter, though, he owes no child support or other forms of care for the child. However, he also permanently signs away any rights he might have to the child, including visitation. It's as if that child simply isn't his. I'd say that's a fair system.

The simple solution would be to allow the man to sign away his paternity rights. He is only able to do so while abortion is possible (unless he can prove he wasn't told about it until it was too late) That way, the woman still has control, and so does the guy; as much as feasibly possible

Man, that's not garanteed in ALL countries... In Brasil politicians are trying to pass an law that women cant abort in any situation, they are allowd in situation of rape, or the baby have no brain, or in wealth problems to the mother that could kill her. In italy If the woman is not divorced from the man(have the children out of a marridge) she cannot ask for children support. Instead of forcing women to give up the rights of abortion. The law should just add a clause for men to opt out of paying supports if he has shown intentions of not paying child support in early stages of pregnancy(early enough for safe abortion). Taking abortion rights away from women is stupid as giving birth in itself can be a life-threatening undertaking. Also, I love how some dumbasses here argue that a man should have a rights over a women because she is impregnated by him. Man. Go back to 1700s.

You don't want to be saddled with child support? Then don't have unprotected sex. You don't want her to unilaterally have an abortion if she gets pregnant? Again, don't have unprotected sex. Also, discuss the matter thoroughly beforehand and make sure you are in agreement with what to do if she gets pregnant. It's not rocket science.

Besides the fact that it needs two for a pregnancy (no wish for a child - you should use contraception) it's just the woman who is pregnant. It's her body and you can't do anything about it. You wouldn't like it if a woman has saying in things like vasectomies, would you? It's your body, you decide about it. It has got nothing to do with you unless you are the father, and then if you cannot have a conversation about it with the woman you probably need to put your dick back in your pants until you can. What many gers don't seem to comprehend is that in some countries women still end up inserting cloth hangers in their vagina to kill their unborn child and often die themselves in the process because legit abortion is not an option and having an illegitimate child might get you killed aswell. Just an example. Not everyone is as lucky as women in the Western world. And that's also what real feminists fight for but you just keep bashing them and reinvent their cause in order to do so.
