Great Size and Quality
I read lots of reviews before buying this chalkboard sign. The one I received had a nice, smooth surface. I did coat it in chalk first even though the instructions said that wasn't necessary. I have only used it with regular chalk and it works great! I don't have chalk markers so can't review on how it works with that. The chalkboard I received was very well put together, seems very sturdy and is perfect for my use. I have been using it to countdown the days until school starts on my mantel. Now that school is starting, I'll be using it for quotes of the day. It is a very nice size without being too big or too little.

I drew on this with inexpensive chalk markers from WalMart, erased part of it that I smudged, waited a week, then erased the whole board. The chalk came off very easily. I did have to scrub with the natural grooves in the board, but it doesn't seem to have soaked in. I will say don't use paper towel to clean it because the paper leaves a lot of crumbs behind due to the board texture. My fully cleaned photo, attached here, was after cleaning with digital screen spray and paper napkins, then going back over it with small alcohol wipes to remove the paper towel fuzzies. Would absolutely purchase again or recommend.

Very Versatile and Cute
I love this little board! Very versatile! I keep it out all year round and write "welcome home" but I also switch it up during any holidays and it's an instant extra holiday decoration! Also perfect for writing a menu out for a dinner party! It's proven very useful and helpful for warming up the home to guests. Couldn't be happier with my purchase! Love the rustic look to it :)

This chalk board is absolutely adorable! It is perfect for my bakery/bistro. I use it for those items that I change frequently. I did have a problem with the first one I ordered and customer service reached out to me and resolved it very quickly. It was refreshing to work with a company that really cares about the customer. It seems over the past several years businesses and companies have forgotten about the "service" part of customer service. VersaChalk representatives go out of their way to ensure a positive experience. These chalk boards are wonderful and I will most likely order again.

Will Keep Me Organized!
I am a paper crafter and I purchased this magnetic chalkboard for organizational purposes. I think I live in the Bermuda Triangle because when I craft, supplies which I just used disappear and I have to search for them. This often happens with my cutting dies; some of those are tiny! When I decide on the dies for a project, onto the magnetic board they will go! Then when I need one, I'll be able to find it quickly. All I have to do now is remember to put it back on the chalkboard when I finish using it.

Great decor chalkboard
Very nice chalkboard. As for size, here it is next to a pitcher of flowers. Easily fits four or five medium sized lines of words. It is real slate, and I think it's exactly the type of chalkboard you would want for a rustic/farmhouse decor style (cough Joanna Gaines cough)! I plan to use it in a woodland themed baby shower. I've used chalk markers on it so far and they work well. I wouldn't use this for everyday notes or something though. Bigger chalkboard or a whiteboard would be better for that I think!

They not only changed the problem entirely on all boards going forward, but they also sent me a new board along with markers and cleaning supplies for my inconvenience. This is GREAT customer service. They didn't ignore the problem, they went above and beyond to fix it going forward and also made sure I, and future buyers are happy I would now definitely recommend this board and the seller. Great little slate board
This is another gift I bought for my Mother for Mother's day. She is a crafter and brings her wares to shows so I thought this would be a nice little table top easel to write and sales or specials or little notes on it for her craft tables. It's the perfect size for that sort of thing. The day after Mother's Day I received an email with a picture of a a note she drew on it that said "Love it. Love you". I looked like the chalk moved well across the board and had a nice color and line to it. This is a slate board and not the fake boards that wear off over time. It's a great little piece and the price wasn't too bad.

Great Chalkboards and Beautiful, too!
I'll be honest, I shopped around for a better price on Amazon. These were what I wanted, but I needed 4 and couldn't justify just buying without the research. Well, I am glad I bit the budget breaking bullet and bought these. They are not only straight up gorgeous, but they are also erasable when writing with liquid chalk and sturdy! Everything I wanted. The only downside is the rough surface, so your writing gets a bit wonky. I think once you figure out how to write on them, it's not noticeable though. Most chalkboards have rough surfaces.

This is an excellent quality product for a reasonable price. I ordered it for a gift for a family member with a farmhouse-style home, and she loved it! It felt sturdy out of the box, and the writing surface is smooth and erases well. I bought the Blami Arts chalk markers set to go along with it, and they work really well on this board.
